I have to say I'm extremely pleased with it so far. I haven't set it outside yet to test any weather resistance, but for now it sits at my front door and I am sooo impressed by it's performance. Norman likes to bark at the slightest noise. I set this at my front door and now I can get visitors and deliveries without a single bark. The first time he barked, he ran away from the device immediately. He clearly doesn't like it and now won't bark anywhere near it.
He'll still grumble and whine, but the barks are gone.
While this was working it helped with the barking tremendously. The down side, it only worked about 2.5 months before it stopped (yes, we charged it and that wasnt the problem)
We have friendly neighbors with a good dog that sometimes barks when they are out for long periods without bringing the dog along. Luckily, we do not have a constant barking problem. We have used the anti-barking device a few times when needed to quiet her down and it seems to work. I would estimate the distance needed to be covered is about 30 feet. I cannot vouch for longer distances or for everyday consistent use, but the device seems to work for 30-foot distances or less, keeping the barking at bay. I also like the fact that it is rechargeable and does not require batteries as some others do.
Instructions are crap, and it feels kinda fragile, but seems to work. I have neighbors that are about 30ft from where I set the unit on my porch. I also have a mini-solar panel to make sure that it's charged 100% of the time. Unfortunately, I also have a neighbor that parks directly between the unit and my neighbors front door where their dogs like to bark when the wind blows more than 2mph...
Love the small portable design that uses rechargeable battery. A good feature is that it incorporates 3 sensitivity levels.
